该项目获得2009年年度中国人居典范建筑规划最佳设计方案金奖。
这是2008汶川地震灾后重建项目。在偏远的少数民族地区，地震给社会各方面带来了巨大的伤害。这是一个民族记忆深刻的灾难。新的规划给他们燃起希望。
规划没有照搬一般城市规划的做法，而是提出以可持续发展的原则打造一个羌人自己的家园。规划不仅从设计理念、市场运作、民生发展、政府作为、空间形态、文化遗产、生态保护等诸多方面详加论述，而且具有开放性及灵活性，鼓励社会多种资源合作，凸显出羌人的文化特点。提出了政府主导培育，民间自主生长，共建魅力故乡的发展策略。
在总体规划的指导下，羌城建设逐步展开。经过近10年的发展，目前已成为当地的文化名片。
Planning of Qiang City
2009 Gold Award for Best Design of Chinese Habitat Model.
This is the reconstruction project of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. In remote ethnic minority areas, the earthquake has caused tremendous damage to all aspects of society. It’s a memorable disaster while the new plan gives them hope.
The plan does not copy the practice of general urban planning, but proposes to build Qiang’s own home based on the principle of sustainable development. The planning not only elaborates on design concepts, market operation, people's livelihood development, government action, spatial form, cultural heritage, ecological protection, etc., but also has openness and flexibility, encourages the cooperation of multiple resources in society, and highlights the Qiang Cultural characteristics. The development strategy of government-led cultivation, private-autonomous growth, and building charming hometown together are proposed.
Under the guidance of the planning, the construction of Qiang City has gradually begun. After nearly 10 years of development, it has become a local cultural business card.
